Today was still a National Holiday here in Siem Reap  but the main festivities on the river are now over.  Last night thousands of  floating candle lit offerings, made of styrofoam and  decorated with flowers and incense sticks were put in to the river.  These have been on sale for a week or so  and I had no idea what they were.

This morning I went looking for somewhere that would photocopy some sheets  for the children's maths lessons next week and found a shop very near to my accommodation. On Monday I will  find out what level the children have reached and what they need to learn.  They have  a  Khmer teacher for English and I assist with grammar and punctuation then I teach the Topic  which this month is about journeys, maps and transport.  I have also been asked to  lead art and games lessons ( hopefully based on this month's  theme if I come up with suitable ideas)
